If anything gets your synapses firing, it’s a big Latin American street market with their food stalls spreading mouth-watering aromas and sizzling sounds. Comida Fest – Latin American Street Food Market opens for the first time at the scenic South Bank in April, May & June bringing to London a treat to all senses: a tasty journey that will cover the vast culinary diversity from Mexico to Argentina, including their infamous cocktails. The famous Latin vibe will be provided by music and Latin beats curated by the group Movimientos. To top it off: entertainment & games for kids and adults will get everyone in the right mood for the Latin American fiesta.

April event celebrates the Argentine most famous character after Maradona and the Pope, the Malbec grape.  17th April is the International Malbec Day and Comida Fest has teamed up with the experts from CAU –  Carne Argentina Unica to bring an excellent range of wines, available at the CAU wine bar & Restaurant.

People attending Comida Fest can expect typical and innovative dishes by our seasoned street food traders who are bringing multigrain arepas, Cuban sandwiches, Peruvian ceviches, Lechona from Colombia, Brazilian churros, Passion fruit soup, Mexican street food to name a few.

The food and drink bonanza doesn’t stop there, an entire area will be dedicated to established restaurants in UK representing the best culinary from Argentina, Peru and Mexico.  Café Pacífico, opened since 1982 in the heart of Covent Garden will offer fresh Mexican staples from its stall.  Tierra Peru, from Islington comes to Comida Fest presenting the country´s traditional dishes, with inspiration from the Andes to the Pacific.  And finally, CAU – Carne Argentina Unica will raise the flag for Argentina at Comida Fest, cooking just the best Argentine meat in Southbank.

Music & Entertainment
DJs and Latin frolics will be playing from late afternoon whilst the mornings will be dedicated to family activities: games, storytelling and workshops.  Comida Fest music is curated by Movimientos www.movimientos.org.uk – the best Latin party organisers and active in London and UK for over a decade.
