The internationally famous Caetano Veloso is coming back to London in April. The British group Ex Cathedra, which consists of a choir and an orchestra, will perform a special ‘Brazilian Christmas’ concert in Birmingham, this December. The show is to be a tribute to the life work of Castro Lobo, who was one of the greatest Brazilian composers of the period of the country’s Portuguese colonization, and lived in the 18th century city of Ouro Preto, in the state of Minas Gerais. Ed Motta, from Rio de Janeiro, has a unique musical repertoire, with strong influences from MPB, Jazz, Rock, Soul Music and Funk.
