Exhibition of the project Portraits of Nature in the Sala Brasil at the Embassy of Brazil in London

0

Portraits of Nature brings together fourteen projects which explore the city of Rio de Janeiro, with an emphasis on its natural culture and strength.

The exhibition showcases the city’s curves, dips, twists and undulations with state of the art three-dimensional technology, combining the modern with the old to reveal what is hidden beneath the surface. The exhibit features drawings, models, and digital renditions – up to 3 metres in height – of the city, based on Oswald de Andrade’s Cannibal Manifesto.

The work was designed by the Brazilian architect Ricardo de Ostos and Isaie Bloch.

The Bartlett School of Architecture, in London, is one of the most prestigious of its kind in the world, and 18 of its students participated in the project.

The Embassy of Brazil in London has set aside a special space for the showcase, to be found in its Sala Brasil.

When: until 7 November

Time: 11am until 5pm

Where: Embassy of Brazil in London – Sala Brasil
