Alessandra Furlan is a trained and registered Nutritionist in Brazil, and a registered Dietician in the UK. She holds a postgraduate degree both in Clinical and Aesthetic Nutrition and in Personalised Clinical Nutrition. She is also a specialist in Nutrition Coaching. Originally from Rio Grande do Sul, Alessandra is passionate about good music, studying, cooking, travelling and photography, as well as everything related to nutrition, health and well-being.
Alexandra Ribeiro Magula is from Minas Gerais and living in England since 2006. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from UFOP and today teaches Portuguese to children at ABCD Escolinha de Portugues, which she is one of the founders. As the mother to Laura, 4, she is always looking for something fun and educational to do with her daughter and so happy to be able to interact with other mothers here at Bossinha.
With over 25 years’ experience in the music industry, both in the UK and overseas, Archie now works specifically with live acts and the staging of international music festivals. Archie, a Brit from London, acts as the music consultant and advisor to LEEE JOHN, lead singer of the 1980s multi award winning British soul group, Imagination, and is an ardent fan of all things Brazilian.
Bianca is from Mato Grosso do Sul - Brazil, loves travelling, photography, blues and bossa nova. She always has her finger on the pulse when it comes to economics, finances and she is also fascinated by the world of public relations and criminology science.
Ciro de Lima graduated from Universidade São Francisco, in São Paulo. He has lived in England for more than 20 years, where he also studied translation and interpretation at Goldsmiths College. He is responsible for the production of "Minhoca", a magazine written specifically for members of the LGBT community and friends. He is currently studying Braille in London; a course that presents considerable challenge.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, raised on Leblon’s beach sands and, since 1997, Mexican by option. Has in hers daughters Marcella and Isadora the guarantee to have done something perfect in life.
Douglas Gomes is a Brazilian dancer and choreographer. He started dancing at the age of 16 and has been in love with all things dance and choreography ever since. Douglas Gomes and Gladys Cavalcante (both from Forró do Galpão) currently offer dance classes all over London.
David has lived in Brazil for the past 20 years, working in the local music industry. His passions include dogs and beer.
David Michael Miranda is a carioca (from Rio de Janeiro), a journalist and the founder of the Casa da Juventude, located in Pedra do Sal. He has been married to fellow journalist Glenn Greenwald for 11 years. He was the driving force behind the attempt to seek asylum for Edward Snowden in Brazil and also against the dismantling of the SOS Rio Sem Homofobia (No Homophobia) program. More recently he launched the Snowden Treaty, an international treaty against close surveillance networks and was announced by the Coletivo Juntos (Collective Together) movement as a candidate for city councilor with the PSOL party in Rio de Janeiro.
Currently concluding his graduation in Journalism, Eduardo is passionate about communication and tourism. At the age of 22, Eduardo has lived almost entirely in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, he is a dreamer to discover the world. Having worked as a press officer and also in communication and marketing agencies, Eduardo is always looking for new challenges and learning opportunities.
Ed, 37, is English and has lived in São Paulo since 2008. He is a writer, translator and branding specialist. As father to two young Brazilians, Willoughby and Jasper, he spends much of his time teaching them the merits of golf, rugby and cricket.
Graduated in History from the University of São Paulo, with 40 years of experience in the area of tourism, worked in several companies of the sector and lived in Torino, Italy, for 7 years. Today Esther divides her time between lectures on Travel and History, courses and workshops for travel agents in Brazil and accompanies groups, in collaboration with some Tour Operators, around the world.
Graduated in Journalism in 2003 and with a post-graduation in film and television production from London, Érika Abreu has been a part of Brazilian broadcaster REDE TV!’s team of international reporters since 2014, covering all the biggest happenings and goings on in London and parts of Europe.
FLÁVIA BUCKER is from the state of Rio Grande do Sul and currently lives in Balneário Camboriú. She has been a specialist in Fashion Design and Industrial Manufacturing for eight years, also working with Fashion Production and Digital Media Journalism. Flávia has a post graduate degree in Contemporary Fashion Production and Image Culture, as well as being a registered Journalist. Her start in the media came with her fashion blog, in 2006, and she went on to work in communication, creating content for websites, magazines, newspapers and three different TV channels, always in the fashion area.
Felipe Pinto Paredes Rodrigues is a dental surgeon with a post-graduate degree in Dental Prostheses. His consultancy is in the city of Joinville, in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. From time to time he writes about themes related to dentistry and oral health.
An Advertising Professional and creator of Juice Cool Hunting with more than 13 years of adventures in the world of communication. Fernanda suffers from wanderlust, the insatiable desire to travel and discover the world, and has lived in Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, United States, Milan and now is based in London.

Johanna Londinium was born in England and has lived in London for most of her adult life. She works behind the cameras as a makeup artist and in front of the cameras as model, including many seasons at London Fashion Week. She has appeared in countless campaigns and editorials for London based Fashion Designers. She is also a writer, providing editorial content for beauty, skincare and cosmetics for www.revelere.com and is also a muse for London designers. She has a keen interest in all things related to Brazilians, thanks to discovering the Brazilian community in London and making good friends amongst them.
Final year student of journalism, 29 years old, and a proud "gaucha". She's lived in Argentina for the last 5 years, where she also studies Audiovisual Production. She works part of his day as a Staff Community Manager, at Visa Argentina, and the other part as an assistant in journalism broadcasting forTvAmerica Buenos Aires.

LETICIA PONTES, 37, is from São Paulo capital and has lived in Stockholm, Sweden since 2004. She is a lawyer registered at the Brazilian Bar Association after having finished her studies at the PUC-SP. Since 2010 she has worked with image consulting and intercultural communication. In her multicultural family, where 3 different languages are spoken and easily mixed, it is the meals between beloved ones that is responsible for teaching all of them about the culture beyond the languages. Since June 2015, when she became Martin´s mother, she dedicates herself along with her husband to raising their son to become a world citizen.

Priscilla is a Brazilian journalist, in love with writing and traveling. Graduated in journalism in 2008, she has worked since then as a reporter, editor and producer of TV and print newspaper. After living in six countries and studying five languages, she left for Russia to get her Masters Degree in International Journalism. A good glass of wine helps her to escape from the astonishing Russian winter.
RIGLEA BRAUER HOLVA, somewhere between 60 and 70 years old, is from MG, but as a teenager she made her way out and ended up in the Brazilian Foreign Service. She has lived in several countries but never forgot her “mineirice”, which is reflected in her love of grammar and the delicacies that she bakes in her kitchen-lab every week. She has lived in Stockholm since 2008. With two sons and married to a Swedish-Finnish citizen, her home is like a “small UN”: languages, traditions, habits and culinary diversity cohabit peacefully.
