SOS SALVE O SAMBA HOSTS CARNIVAL PARTY

0

Expect four hours of music inspired by traditional Samba beats and Afro-Brazilian culture

It’s that time of year again! Embrace the Brazilian Carnival spirit in Notting Hill! It may be winter in London but that’s no excuse not to get out your colourful clothing, sparkles, and shake it in tribute to Rio’s biggest, brightest and most vibrant party.

This year SOS Salve O Samba have invited Rhythms of the City, one of London’s most premier street percussion groups to perform “marchinhas de carnaval”. Sing classics songs of Paulinho da Viola, Martinho da Vila, Cartola, Nelson Cavaquinho and Dona Ivone Lara, and get ready to dance! From Paraíso Samba School, the experienced dance instructor Rodrigo Correa will be teaching a free Samba class.

Chef Almir Santos will be preparing a selection of classic Brazilian dishes and a hearty meal of Feijoada (a vegetarian/vegan version will be provided). A selection of Brazilian desserts, wines, beers and spirits will also be offered. We are a family friendly event and free kid’s activities will be available!
