Criolo, will be on stage at KOKO during another tour of his album Convoque seu Buda (Summon Your Buddha)

Since 2012 Criolo has visited London a number of times, but this year his tour Convoque seu Buda will visit other cities in England. In London he will take the to the stage at KOKO again, the hip venue for local shows in Camden, where he played four years ago

Born in the suburbs of São Paulo, his music transcends much about life experiences. His lyrics, which speak of liberty and social criticism, provoke reflection. Although primarily a rap singer, Criolo, incorporated other musical elements such as samba, soul, afrobeat, funk and hip hop on his album Nó na Orelha (2011), making him more than just the label of rapper. With such Brazilian spirit and talent his career took off and he is now a critically acclaimed artist, with Rolling Stone magazine voting his album as best album of the year.

The singer-songwriter is one of the revelations of a new Brazilian genre and has already partnered with other big names such as Caetano Veloso, Lenin and Milton Nascimento.

Last year he performed in London during the European tour of his third studio album, titled Convoque seu Buda. The tour was such a success that the singer will return in 2016 and dates will include other cities in England. They are: Cambridge (21/4), Bristol (22/4), Leeds (23/4) and Manchester (26/4).

The show will be at KOKO:
1A Camden High Street, London, NW1 7JE
24th April
Tickets can be bought via ticketweb.co.uk or at the KOKO box office
