Thiago Santos to conduct The Manchester Camerata

Thiago Santos is a promising conductor, with a Masters in Music from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro’s Music School. He started his career in 2001 with the Conjunto de Sacra Vox and hasn’t looked back since. Some of his illustrious teachers were Guillermo Scarabino, Osvaldo Ferreira and Daisuke Soga.

In 2012, Thiago conducted the Bohuslava Martinů Philharmonic, in Zlin, Czech Republic, during a workshop, with the conductors Donald Schleicher and Kirk Trevor. In the same year he was selected for the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra’s 4th Regency Laboratory and participated in a concert with the group, with Fábio Mechetti’s guidance.

Now, Thiago is to conduct the Manchester Camerata, at the MBNA Chester Music Festival, another fantastic career achievement.
