The next edition of the Walthamstow Garden Party is to take place on 16 and 17 July, with lots of different attractions, such as pop-up cinema, craft and design, storytelling and poetry, delicious food and live shows.
One of this year’s biggest attractions is the Brazilian rapper Emicida, one of Brazilian Hip-Hop’s most respected artists. His debut release came out in 2009, but as early as 2005 he was turning heads with his stunning performances in hip-hop improvisation battles. He has an innate ability for creating rhymes, and his first single, “Triunfo” (Triumph), has been viewed more than 7 million times on You Tube, sealing his current status as a major player in the rap and hip-hop world.
After making his name, Emicida has appeared at numerous festivals, such as Coachella, in California, and Rock in Rio 2011, whilst receiving many awards from the Brazilian Music Industry.
