The margins of the River Thames, never far from the centre of London’s biggest happenings, are about to get busier than ever during the month of September.
The Totally Thames Festival will bring 150 events to the banks of the river over the course of the month, all in honour of one of the world’s most famous rivers, and its special relationship with Londoners.
Art installations, such as the piece Floating Dreams (photo), from artist Ik-Joong Kang, expositions, photography projections and live performances are all part of the programme, as well as boat trips, sailboat shows, kayak racing, stand-up paddling and even a spot of riverside archaeological exploration. Everything is set for a month full of attractions.
