Marcelo D2 at The Jazz Cafe

Marcelo D2 is back with a bang at The Jazz Cafe on Monday 8th July

Since his early mixing of punk rock with rap and samba with MPB, Marcelo has been revolutionising the Brazilian hip-hop scene in his own unique way.

After becoming a breakout star thanks to 2004’s À Procura Da Batida Perfeita (released in the UK as Looking For The Perfect Beat) and its follow-up Meu Samba É Assim in 2006, Marcelo is back to show international audiences that he never really went away.

Nada Pode Me Parar marked his first full-length of original songs since 2008’s A Arte do Barulho and sees the rapper at the top of his game. Once more he has worked with original Beastie Boys producer Mario Caldato Jr to craft a new set of songs soaked in Brazilian music history with samples of tracks by Milton Nascimento, Dom Um Romão, Ivan Lins add Raul Seixas.

To buy the show tickets, just go to The Jazz Cafe website.
