Roger José Cury, better known as Rogê, is a well-known and highly respected Brazilian samba singer and composer. His compositions have become hits with the voices of Seu Jorge, Maria Rita and Arlindo Cruz, among others.
Now Rogê is embarking on his first European tour and will be coming to London in June. He has released five albums during his award-winning career and is currently working on his sixth. He is considered a pioneering Brazilian artist, representing a new generation of MPB musicians (MPB = ‘Brazilian Popular Music’).
Born in Rio de Janeiro, his sound echoes the musical influences of the city, mixed in with a touch of groove, bossa nova and reggae.
