Bento Araujo, researcher, journalist and Record collector, will be launching his two volume book Lindo Sonho Delirante at the Embassy of Brazil in London
The search for the new has always driven humankind, but in the 1960s, this quest gained greater intensity. In the universe of popular art, it was a time of overwhelming creativity.
The books Lindo Sonho Delirante- volumes 1&2 by the journalist, researcher and record collector Bento Araujo, are written in English and Portuguese.
In Volume1- Lindo Sonho Delirante: 100 psychedelic records from Brazil (1968-1975) exposes the complete range and breadth of Brazil’s 1960s and 1970s psych rock scene by presenting one hundred records that transformed the Brazilian music scene.
In Volume 2 – Lindo Sonho Delirante: 100 daring records from Brazil (1976-1985) Araujo’s research begins in 1976 until 1985. He explores a period of deep discoveries and turnarounds in Brazilian music.
Both volumes feature complete cover art reproductions of all records. It is a fully illustrated celebration of the records which changed Brazil forever.
In the UK, the world’s foremost vinyl enterprise ‘The Vinyl Factory’ chose the volume 1 as one of the best music books of 2017. October 2018’s issue of leading record magazine ‘The Record Collector’ features an interview with the acclaimed author, discussing his music expertise.

19:00 to 19:30 – Conversation about the books – The author Bento Araujo and DJs/record collectors Rasmus Schack from Denmark and D.Vyzor from Brazil.
19:30 to 21:00 – Book signing, drinks and a DJ show/ presentation based on the records from both volumes of the book.
