Born in Floresta, Pernambuco, his history with music begins with his father. Over time, he began his studies at the Music School in Brasilia where he graduated with honours and in 1997 leaves Brazil to improve them in Portugal, where he was invited by the Macau Cultural Institute and the Ministry of Culture of Brazil to research the music and literature areas at the University of Evora. In 2014, he received his PhD in Music History, Science and Techniques at the University of Rome.

With several albums released acclaimed by international critics, Alípio is a complete artist, reflecting in his work his strong personality and his North-eastern origins, with strong and remarkable jazz.
