There’s news on the Consulate’s website about document legalisation

Do you need a document legalised?

Find out how to get it done on the Brazilian Consulate website!

The web page has been totally revamped and is now far easier to use. Have a look at: http://cglondres.itamaraty.gov.br/pt-br/reconhecimento_de_firma.xml

And remember: if you need to request an appointment with a member of the Consulate’s staff, you can do so by booking one online, from the legalisation department’s tab.

Legalisation of documents is a method of declaring that a person’s signature is authentic. There are two ways of legalising a signature: by similarity or by authenticity (commonly referred to as “by truth”).
