0

As of 14 August 2016, it will no longer be necessary to have British documents legalised for use in Brazil at the Brazilian consulate.

With the coming into effect of The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, the only requirement to use such papers in an official capacity in Brazil will be to have them recognised by The Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
