This February sees yet another attraction make its way to London: an exhibition of the photography of the Brazilian artist Cristina Schleder, which will be open to the public at the Embassy of Brazil, from 10 to 23 February.
Cristina, who is 64 and lives in São Paulo, studied Visual Communication in her home city, and has worked there ever since. Throughout her 35-year-long career, Cristina has dedicated herself to representing nature. The techniques she uses are designed to bring to the fore her unconscious thoughts, and can be seen in all her work.
Schleder’s artistic style is instinctively impressionist, with frequent representations of reflexions on the surface of moving liquids.
The exhibit promises to be worth a visit for anyone who appreciates the visual arts, particularly photography.
