The idea of Brazilian photographers Zeka Araújo and Miguel Hijar is to present a photography exhibition based on Frescobol, the popular Brazilian Beach Tennis sport.
Also known as Matkot (from the Hebrew for ‘racquets’), Frescobol is a beach sport created in Rio de Janeiro during the 20th century. One of the sport’s inventors was Millôr Fernandes, a Brazilian intellectual, journalist, writer, comedian and Shakespeare translator.
The concept behind the exhibition is to unite art and sport.
