The British group Ex Cathedra, which consists of a choir and an orchestra, will perform a special ‘Brazilian Christmas’ concert in Birmingham, this December.
The show is to be a tribute to the life work of Castro Lobo, who was one of the greatest Brazilian composers of the period of the country’s Portuguese colonization, and lived in the 18th century city of Ouro Preto, in the state of Minas Gerais.
The concert will feature a number of the composer’s most well known works, interpreted by Ex Cathedra, who are continuing their Brazilian theme of releases, after the success of their CD ‘Brazilian Adventures’, which was well received by critics.
