High expectations for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games


On 16 May there was a reception for the Brazilian and British athletes who are set to compete in Rio de Janeiro, in the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as for ex-Olympians (including medal winners) and footballers.

The Ambassador of Brazil to the UK, Eduardo dos Santos, spoke about the preparations, which are progressing at full steam, further fuelling the sense of hype and excitement for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
