A celebration of what would be his 77th birthday
A celebration of Tim Maia returns on what would have been his 77th birthday with a ten-piece Brazilian band led by Kita Steuer performing a selection of Tim Maia’s greatest hits at the Jazz Cafe.
Tim Maia is universally recognised as one of the icons of Brazilian music heritage. He contributed soul to a raft of Brazilian music styles, including funk, bossa nova, disco, romantic ballads, pop, rock, jazz, baião and MPB.
From humble beginnings, Maia would go on to record and release over thirty albums incorporating a plethora of distinct styles and influences on a variety of different internationally recognised labels.
He is a true legend of Brazilian music, and his music has been instrumental in promoting Brazilian music around the globe.
